Children are busy people who derive enormous benefits from yoga including:

  • Co-ordination
  • Body awareness
  • Creativity

 

In addition, children who have problems with sleep and paying attention will find that Yoga helps concentration and encourages an inner sense of calm and relaxation.  Yoga for Kids is a bit about exercise, a lot about play and connecting more deeply with their inner self. Yoga for Kids also develops an intimate relationship with the natural world that surrounds them as well as people.

Children have a bright, fiery inner light that finds a non-competitive, nurturing place to shine in Yoga for Kids.

I am a Rainbow Kids Yoga Certified teacher and have practiced yoga with both my children (now 9 and 6 years old) since they were infants.
